Grand Rapids jumps out to 2-0 series lead in Calder Cup final

| The Detroit News Comments Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the host Syracuse Crunch, 6-4, Sunday in Game 2 of the American Hockey League Calder Cup finals, taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Francis Pare’s power-play goal at 18:49 of the second period turned out to be the game-winner. Tomas Tatar, Triston Grant, Landon Ferraro, Tomas Jurco, and Jan. Mursak also scored for the the Detroit Red Wings AHL affiliate, which returns home Wednesday for Game 3. Game 4 is p.m. Friday and Game 5, if necessary, is Saturday.
